"Dark Light, Bright Night" is an EP comprised of what were originally intended to be demos for a full-length album. As I listened to the final mixes of these songs I felt that there was a special quality to them that could not be replicated. Even though there are some mistakes, off notes, etc., I felt that it would be best to let the demos become the finished album. I also tried adding more songs to the EP but ultimately felt that these songs worked best by themselves. It just felt right to leave everything as is.
All tracks were recorded in my old garage by linking two Tascam four-track cassette recorders together. The final mix was done on a home stereo. Then my friend Boo helped me edit it all together and put it on cd.
